Gables' Learning and Development department is dedicated to creating an active, vibrant culture of learning. Therefore, Gables Foundations has been created to provide our assocaites with a comprehensive and dynamic training environment. As associates complete different learning opportunities they are awarded with certifications. Learning opportunities available through Gables Foundations include a comprehensive mix of training, including instructor-led training (ILT's), e-learning, videos, learning projects, one-on-one coaching, and webinars. Comprehensive training plans are offered to associates through our learning management system, Foundations Online.

Gables Recognition Program
The Gables Recognition Program recognizes Gables associates for outstanding performance and for extraordinary examples of exemplifying the Gables mission, "Taking Care of the Way People Live.” Onsite and corporate associates are recognized throughout the year with a variety of monthly, quarterly and annual awards based on customer service excellence and individual and team performance. Once a year, each Gables region highlights our award winners at the Gables Annual Spotlight Awards Ceremony.

Circle of Excellence
The Circle of Excellence Award recognizes outstanding achievement of leasing and service associates who consistently outperform and drive success for Gables. Given annually, this prestigious award grants membership to ten leasing associates and two service teams based on the measured impact in the areas of sales, customer service and community maintenance.
Taking Care Awards
Awarded monthly, this award recognizes associates who are living our mission by taking care of prospects, residents, external customers and/or fellow associates. Any associate is eligible and nominations often come directly from our satisfied residents and customers who have experienced Gables commitment to service excellence.
Top Shop Awards
This award recognizes the leasing office associates who demonstrate excellence in the total sales presentation from the initial phone call with potential residents to the follow-up throughout the leasing process.
Each month an outside company mystery shops one associate per community via telephone and on-site visit. The results of the shopping report are tabulated and associates scoring 100% on both the telephone and in-person sections are recognized with the “Top Shop” award and cash bonus.
Corporate Associate of the Quarter
This award recognizes corporate office associates who consistently go above and beyond their everyday job responsibilities and are nominated by their peers. The award will be given to the corporate office associate based upon written recommendations from other associates.
